Genetics is playing an increasingly important role in cancer—in prevention, screening and treatment—and Women&Cancer is committed to informing our readers about the latest news related to this fascinating and exciting area of cancer research.

We have approached the topic of genetics and cancer from various angles in recent issues, with features covering genetic testing—including survivor and family profiles—and news items highlighting advances in research. Our goal—as with each department in the magazine—is to make the information approachable and interesting for women who can use the information in their lives as survivors, caregivers or advocates.
